Affiliate Authorization Process
Affiliate accounts are frequently provisioned for those who are neither employees nor students but who have legitimate business with Tufts or on a Tufts campus. Go to https://access.tufts.edu/affiliate-account for additional information about Affiliate accounts and how to request one. Once an Affiliate Account has been provisioned, affiliates may require certain Public Safety-related authorization services, in particular, identification cards, authorization for building access and parking permits.
Affiliate Authorization
Approximately 24 hours following the creation of an Affiliate Account, an affiliate’s identity data will automatically be submitted to Tufts’ Auxiliary Services.
- Badge/ID cards. Once an affiliate’s data has been transmitted to Tufts’ Auxiliary Services, and they have submitted a passport quality photo to tuftsid@tufts.edu,, the affiliate will be able to create an appointment to obtain a Badge/ID card. - Parking permits. Once an affiliate’s data has been transmitted to Tufts Auxiliary Services, the affiliate will be able to purchase a parking permit on tufts.mpspark.com.
- Building access. Following creation of an Affiliate’s account, the Affiliate’s Sponsor/Supervisor or Department Manager can request building access for the affiliate by emailing access requests to accessreq@tufts.edu .
Please be aware that authorizations expire when an Affiliate Account expires.
