Alternative Work Arrangements
A flexible work schedule can help you balance the needs of work, family, and other personal commitments. While an alternative work arrangement may not work for every position, Tufts offers some possible options for you to explore with your supervisor.
Options may include:
- Working non-standard hours
- Job sharing
- Working part-time (either fewer hours a day or fewer days a week)
The alternative schedule must meet the business needs of your department and be approved by your supervisor, who may review the agreement at any time.
Your manager or department head needs to ensure that sufficient personnel are available on campus to serve the Tufts community. If the needs of your department change or the arrangement is not working out, your manager may reverse or change the alternative schedule.
If you are interested in an alternative work arrangement, please talk with your supervisor or manager and your Human Resources Business Partner.
