RecycleHealth is a charity founded by Lisa Gualtieri, an assistant professor at the Tufts School of Medicine. The program distributes donated devices to under-served populations to empower more people to lead active lifestyles.
There is a drop-off spot on the 4th floor of the MedEd Building (145 Harrison Avenue) for the following items:
- All brands of activity-tracking devices (e.g., Fitbits, Jawbones, Apple Watches)
- Brand new devices
- Previously owned, but unopened devices
- Used and fully working devices
- Used devices with broken or missing accessories
- Device accessories such as loose chargers and bands
Do not donate any wearable electronics that have missing pieces, do not turn on after charging, or do not hold a charge for at least two days.
Oral Care
We're back! (9.25.22)
The Tufts University School of Dental Medicine collaborates with TerraCycle under their Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program. This program is designed to up-cycle "non-recyclable" oral health care products such as:
- Toothpaste tubes and caps
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste cartons
- Toothbrush outer packaging
- Floss containers and their outer packages
Note: Please ensure that toothpaste tubes and floss containers are completely empty.
The pilot program has launched in the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic located on the 8th floor of TUSDM under the supervision of Dr. Rocio Saavedra, director of the predoctoral program and assistant professor, with the assistance of Thomas Lloyd, 8th-floor practice manager. Primary student contacts will be Christine Lee (D24, ASDA) and Venus Tran (D24, GHSA).
