Computer Purchase Consultations
Consultation and assistance are available to departments and individuals on the Tufts Medford campus for computer purchases.
Technology Services helps students, faculty, and staff from the schools and divisions on all campuses with university purchases of new computers, providing assurance that the selected computer will match Tufts systems and technology needs. Consultations are focused on:
Students:
- Help with student discount options for Apple & Dell hardware
Faculty and Staff:
- Quotes for Apple & Dell hardware
- Coordination with the IT Support provider, preparations for the computer’s arrival, and Tufts network configuration
- Business needs and budget
Technology Purchase Process
To ensure all technology operating on and in the Tufts network adheres to network security protocols and is compliant with the Tufts security framework followed by TTS, all technology purchases must go through Tufts Technology Services (TTS).
- Purchasing a desktop or laptop computer: If you’re planning to buy common technology products for use at Tufts—such as desktop and laptop computers then please fill out this request form.
- Purchasing peripherals/accessories or software: If you’re planning to buy peripherals/accessories or software then please fill out this request form.
