Did You Know that Duo Security Launched a NEW "Universal Prompt"?
Effective Tuesday, 11/15, Tufts will implement Duo Security's "Universal Prompt" for accessing Tufts services that require Duo 2-factor authentication (2FA).
The "Universal Prompt", pictured below, has a simpler and cleaner interface.
What will this mean for you?
Logging in to Tufts services that require 2FA will remain relatively unchanged. You'll log in with your Tufts username and password and complete the 2FA step, usually via a phone call or a push notification through the Duo Mobile app. The 2FA prompt will just look a little different!
When logging in, you can switch between your available authentication options by clicking "Other options" and selecting something else.
There will also be a change to the "Remember me for 30 days" feature. When you log in, you'll be asked if you want to "Trust this browser?" If you say "Yes," Duo will not ask you to complete the 2FA step on that particular device and browser for 30 days, similar to before.
