Dowling Garage Partial Closure

What You Need to Know

Floors 1-3 of the Dowling Garage, including the 1st floor entrance at 419 Boston Ave., will be closed for repairs, March 17 to May 18, and again from June 2 through the end of August 2023.

During this time, parking on floors 4-6 may be accessed via the entry bridge on level 5 located at the front of Dowling Hall. For GPS guidance to the 5th floor entrance please use, 50 North Hill Road, Medford, MA 02155.

The garage will be temporarily reopened for Commencement on May 21 and remain open through June 2 for alumni reunions. The Boston Ave entrance and parking will be available for reunion events throughout the weekend, June 2-4.

Important Dates to Remember

This timeline may change and will be updated throughout the project.

• Friday June 2, 2023 - No parking on floors 1 -3. Please remove all vehicles prior to 12pm. After 12pm, vehicles parked on levels 1-3 may be subject to ticket and/or tow at owners expense. Boston Ave entrance will be closed, please use 5th floor entrance located at 50 N Hill Road.
  • The Boston Ave entrance and parking will be available for reunion events throughout the weekend, June 2-4.

• Monday April 10, 2023 - Construction on hold until after commencement. 419 Boston Ave entrance and floors 1-3 are open. As part of the construction the parking lines have been removed, please use caution and courtesy when parking.

• Friday March 17, 2023 - No parking on floors 1 -3. Please remove all vehicles prior to 12pm. After 12pm, vehicles parked on levels 1-3 may be subject to ticket and/or tow at owners expense.
  • Students leaving their cars parked during spring break should park on the upper levels. Valid parking permits are still required for parking.

Directions and Alternate Parking

For GPS guidance to the 5th floor entrance please use, 50 North Hill Road, Medford, MA 02155. Signs will be posted directing drivers to the level 5 entry bridge on the front side of Dowling Hall. If the garage has reached capacity, drivers will be directed to alternate parking areas on campus.
