Fringe Benefits Rates

Due to the current restructuring of the Cost Allocation Services office, we are experiencing significant delays in receipt of the new fringe benefit rate agreement. Below are rates that should be used in the meantime. As soon as the rate agreement becomes available, we will share through the appropriate channels.

The following is a listing of Fringe Benefit Rates for Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027, which runs from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Fringe Benefit rates are used in planning for departmental and research purposes. The Rates will next be updated on July 1, 2027. 

• Unrestricted Rate: 32.00%
• Restricted Full Time: 28.50%
• Post-Doc Rate: 18.9%
• Mandated Rate: 7.8%
• Faculty Summer Supplement: 15.2%

Please use the following provisional fringe rates when budgeting for grants after FY27:

• Restricted Rate: 28.50%
• Post Doc rate: 18.9%
• Mandated rate: 7.8%
• Faculty summer supplement rate: 15.2%
