What is Open Enrollment?
Open Enrollment is the period of time each year when you can make changes to many of the benefits you receive through Tufts University. Open Enrollment 2019 is November 2 to 16.
What do I need to do?
Step 1: Review your benefits options
Starting October 24, review your 2019 benefits options, costs and see what's changing for:
- Faculty and staff (benefits-eligible)
- International employees
- Postdoctoral scholars
- ACA-eligible employees
Step 2: Make your benefits selections
From November 2 through November 16, review your current benefits and make your selections, including any changes to your current benefits in eServe, the employee self-service portal.
Eligibility and Qualifying Life Events
Visit Benefits Eligibility for more information about who is eligible for benefits and a list of qualifying life events.
What happens if I do nothing?
We encourage you to review all of your options to make sure you are getting the most out of your Tufts-sponsored benefits every single year.
- You must re-enroll in a flexible spending account (health care or dependent care) each year in order to participate or wait until the next Open Enrollment period.
- Your other benefits will remain the same unless you make changes.
Mark your calendar: Benefits fairs
Benefits fairs are your chance to talk in person with representatives who can answer questions about your benefits.
