Grafton Campus Specialty Recycling
The Sustainability Center
The Grafton Campus Sustainability Center is located in the basement of the Loew Library building, where you can recycle and freecycle your specialty recyclables!
Additional Specialty Recycling Streams:
In addition to the specialty streams that all four Tufts University Campuses recycle, the Grafton Campus also recycles the following:
- Razors and Blades: Drop off all brands of blades and razors along with the rigid plastic packaging and/or flexible plastic packaging that they come in.
- Laundry Detergent Containers: Drop off all paperboard packaging (such as dryer sheet packaging), and all brands of detergent containers. Please make sure that lids have a #2 recycling symbol on them and that containers have a #5 recycling symbol. The lids must also be completely screwed on to their respective containers.
- Contact Lens Packaging: Drop off contact lenses and blister packs from all brands. Please do not include any cardboard packaging, as this is recyclable through non-specialty streams.
- Brita Products and Filters: All Brita products are accepted in this brigade. These include dispensers, filters, bottles, and packaging.
- Plastic Film: Soft plastics such as bubble wrap, grocery bags, air pillows, bread and produce bags, and plastic padded envelopes can go here. These will be recycled into composite wooden products such as decks and benches.
FreeCycling Drop off
Grafton community members can leave items here that they no longer need, but are still in good condition for others to take and use. Items range from binders and other school/office supplies to clothing and miscellaneous home and pet goods.
