Kuali Build Sees Rapid Adoption Across Tufts Community with 105 Apps Now in Production

Kuali Build - the service to build automated forms and workflows - shows continued growth in usage across the Tufts Community with 105 apps currently in production. Tufts employee have access to view apps, take training, and build apps.
A few things you need to know
- Employees and students can view apps they have access to by logging in directly to Kuali Build (https://tufts.kualibuild.com) with their Tufts credentials.
- Approvers can see which documents require their attention by clicking on the ‘Action List’ (helpful if they lost track of an email notification).
- Document submitters can view the status or resubmit a document, if needed, by accessing it under ‘My Documents' in the main navigation bar. Then find the document you would like to copy and resubmit, and select ‘Duplicate’ under the Actions column.
For more information, please consult the Kuali Build User Guide or email the Kuali Build Support Team.

Kuali Build App Owner Resources
If you a current Kuali Build App Owner, you'll want to check out these resources.
Kuali Build Microsoft (MS) Teams Affinity Site
As a way for this community to engage online, please join the Kuali Build Team site; once you connect, the Kuali Build Tile will be available on your MS Teams homepage.
You will find this site useful to:
- Share ideas on how to use Kuali Build
- Pose questions to other App Owners
- Provide resources and links to documentation in one place.
Reminder for current App Owners:
When working on a form, please be sure that your Permissions and Roles are configured properly:
- The ‘Administrator’ role is quite powerful; this should only be individuals that can make changes to the app, and read/update/delete documents in your app.
- Only enable permissions for ‘All Authenticated Users’ when everyone at Tufts needs access to submit documents via your app.
- Most often you will need to create roles for your app users and testers at the bottom of the Permissions screen.
- Search for the appropriate group under ‘Affiliations’
- Under ‘Permissions’, the option to ‘Create documents in this app’ allows your app users to submit and view their documents.
- The option to ‘Read documents in this app’ allows your app users to see all documents submitted in the app.
- ‘Access the document list’ is a new feature and more information can be found via the Kuali Build Support site article on Document Level Permissions.
- We strongly recommend that only app administrators have the other permissions enabled.
