Parking Updates for Fall 2021
Hello Tufts Community Member!
Greetings from the Parking and Transportation Services team, part of Auxiliary Services. Our team is excited to update the Tufts community regarding Medford/Somerville transportation and parking program changes.
The Tufts Medford/Somerville campus has discontinued the use of parking decals, hang tags, and paper permits. Instead, you can now purchase parking in daily or monthly increments using your Tufts username and password on the secure Sentry Mobile Parking portal and via the Sentry Mobile app on your smartphone. To receive discounted parking rates, please remember to log in with your Tufts email address. The change was made to provide more flexible, on-demand parking options in preparation for the opening of the Medford/Tufts Green Line station in Spring 2022.
If you have any difficulty using the Sentry Mobile Parking portal, this short video will walk you through the steps.
See another short tutorial video for the Sentry Mobile Parking app.
We’re also pleased to announce recent parking enhancements that include:
- Pretax employee payroll deduction with automatic renewal
- Pretax EBPA Benefit card payment, a program offered through Tufts Benefits
- Annual permit spend cap for faculty, staff, and students
In order to maintain our ability to cover parking-related expenses and provide parking services/benefits, monthly parking rates will increase by 2.7% beginning September 1, 2021.
