I started the application but did not finish and/or I validated my email address. How do I get back to the application?

1. Log into PaymentWorks here: https://www.paymentworks.com/accounts/login/

2. Click "Continue Registration" next to Tufts University under "Customers" on the Home page 

 

 

My application was returned with a request for change(s), what do I do?

If you have received an email from PaymentWorks after your application was submitted saying changes are needed to your submission, please click HERE for instructions. 

I am a foreign individual and I do not have a SSN, ITIN, EIN, or Foreign tax ID, what do I do?

1. Navigate to the Payee Support Site HERE

2. Create a Support Ticket

3. Request a "Placeholder ID" in your support ticket

4. Once you receive the ID, complete the application 

I do not have a US Bank account, how can I get a wire transfer to my foreign bank account?

In the PaymentWorks application Bank Location field, select “Foreign Bank” and then select “Wire” as Foreign Payment Method.   

A secure email with a wire form link will be forwarded to you once the application is fully approved. 

Please be sure to provide complete accurate banking information on the wire form for an international wire transfer including the street address linked to the bank account. 

I have already registered in PaymentWorks with a different University or Company, how can I link this to the Tufts Application?

1. Please contact your payment requester to ensure that the Tufts Registration request is being sent to the SAME EMAIL you used to register with for your previous registration. 

2. Once the invitation has been sent, log into PaymentWorks HERE and click "Tufts University" under "Customers" on the Home page to be directed to the Tufts application 

I am already registered in PaymentWorks with a different email address but I got another invitation email, who can I contact?

Please reach out to your Tufts requester to let them know you are already registered under a different email address. If any of your information has changed since your initial registration, please log in HERE and review/update any information that has changed. We use email addresses to help verify identity. 

I thought I registered, but I keep getting reminder emails, where do I look to see that the application was fully submitted?

1. Log into Payment Works HERE

2. If under the "Customers" section of the home page it says "Connected" your registration has been fully approved, please contact your Tufts payment requester to confirm the email address you used to log into PaymentWorks. 

2. If under the "Customers" section of the home page it says "Registration Form In Review" this means your registration is pending approvals. 

3. If under the "Customers" section of the home page it says "Registration Form Incomplete" your registration has not been fully completed. Click "Continue Registration" to complete the registration. 

3. If under the "Customers" section of the home page it says "Registration Returned" your registration was returned for edits. Click "View/Edit Form" to edit the registration. 

 

I want to update my mailing address(es), where do I go?

If you have recently moved or would otherwise like to change your remittance address please follow the instructions below. Note: if you have moved permanently, please change BOTH addresses to ensure your tax forms are sent to the correct address in January. 

 

Part 1– Remittance Address Update (Where your physical checks are sent)

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

2. Click on the Return to PaymentWorks Classic box on the bottom left in the menu panel.  Or click Customers on the left and click Go to Classic Connect Page on the right.

3. Click Company Profile on the top towards the right.

4. Click on Remittance Addresses on the left.

5. If CHANGING your address, click on the Pencil to the right of the address, make changes, and click Save. 

5a. If ADDING an additional remittance address, click Create New Address, enter info and click Save.

 

Part 2 - Primary Address / Corporate Address Update (Where your tax forms (1099 or 1042) are sent)

NOTE: an Updated W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E is needed with this update

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

2. Click on the Return to PaymentWorks Classic box on the bottom left in the menu panel.  Or click Customers on the left and click Go to Classic Connect Page on the right.

3. Click Company Profile on the top towards the right.

4. In the Marketing Information section, change or add any information here by clicking the Edit box.

5. Click Save.

 

To Upload a new Tax form:

1. Log into PaymentWorks at https://www.paymentworks.com/accounts/login/

2. Click on the Return to PaymentWorks Classic box on the bottom left in the menu panel.  Or click Customers on the left and click Go to Classic Connect Page on the right.

3. Click Company Profile in the top right corner

4. Click "Tax Forms" on the left menu bar

5. Click the IRS Form link to download a blank copy of the applicable form.
(if the form listed is not the one you need please click one of the following links for a downloadable form:       W-9           W-8BEN        W-8BEN-E

6. Fill out the form completely and save it on your computer

7. Browse for the completed tax form on your computer and click "Upload"

I want to update or add my banking (direct deposit) information, where do I go?

PLEASE NOTE: EFT is ONLY for US Banks
 

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

3. Click Bank Accounts

4. Click Add Account and enter all requested information, including selecting the appropriate remittance address.

5. After bank info is added, click Remittance Addresses.  Make sure the Associated Bank Account is linked to the correct Remittance Address. 

6. Click Related Customers to make sure Tufts appears there.  If it does not appear, click Back to Remittance Addresses, then click Share With Customers, check the box next to Tufts, and click Send Address. 

I want to change my payment type to 'Check', how do I do that?

NOTE: EFT (Direct Deposit) payments are preferred as they have a faster turn around, please consider updating your banking details instead of changing to 'check'.

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

2. Under the "Customers" section of the Home page click on View/Edit Form.

3. Click on Additional Information at the top.

4. Scroll down until you get to US Payment Method and select Check.

5. Scroll to the bottom and click Submit.

I want to change my payment type to 'Wire', how do I do that?

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

2. Under the "Customers" section of the Home page click on View/Edit Form.

3. Click the "Additional Information" tab in the application 

4. Answer the Resident Alien & Tufts Student/Employee question if applicable 

4. Select "Foreign Bank" and "Wire" for your bank location and Payment Method

5. Click submit to submit the changes

 

I recently changed my name / my business' name, how do I change this in PaymentWorks?

PLEASE NOTE: you can only change your name if your tax ID number is the same. If you have a new tax ID number, please have your payment requester send a new invitation. If your tax ID is the same and you need to change your name, click HERE for instructions. 

I have received my SSN or ITIN, how do I update this in PaymentWorks?

1. Log into PaymentWorks at  https://www.paymentworks.com/accounts/login/

2. Click on the Return to PaymentWorks Classic box on the bottom left in the menu panel.  Or click Customers on the left and click Go to Classic Connect Page on the right.

3. Click "Company Profile" in the top right corner

4. Click Business Details on the left side of the page

5. Click Edit in the bottom right and update your Non-US TIN to your US SSN and Click Save. 

6. Click "Tax Forms" on the left menu bar.

7. Download a blank copy of the W-8BEN tax form here

8. Fill out the form with your SSN or ITIN, save to your computer and then upload to PaymentWorks

 

I am now a Resident Alien, how do I update this?

1. Change your Residency Status 

-  Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

-  Click "View/Edit Form" under Customers 

-  Click on Additional Information.

-  In the Resident Alien section, click the dropdown and select Yes.

-  Click Submit.

2. Change your SSN or ITIN

- Click "Go to Dashboard"

- Click on the Return to PaymentWorks Classic box on the bottom left in the menu panel.  Or click Customers on the left and click Go to Classic Connect Page on the right.

- Click on Company Profile.

- Click on Business Details and click Edit.

-  Change Tax ID Type to SSN or ITIN.

-  Enter your SSN or ITIN in the Tax Number and Confirm Tax Number boxes.

-  Click Save

3. Change Your Primary / Corporate Address

-  In the Marketing Information section, change your address to your US address

- Click Save.

4. Upload a W9 Form

-  You must then submit a W-9 by clicking on Tax Forms on the left.

-  Click on the IRS Form W-9 link to download a W-9, fill it out completely and save it on your computer. If you do not see this link, download the W-9 form here.

-  Upload the completed form by clicking Browse, navigate to the W-9 you just saved, select it and click Open.

-  Click Upload

 

 

I am looking to see if a payment has been made, how can I see this?

1. Log into PaymentWorks HERE

2. Click the "Invoices" Tab to see your payments

If you do not see a payment here and are expecting one, please contact your payment requester or invite sender. 

I forgot my log in information, who should I contact?

Please note, the email address you should be using to log in is the one you initially validated with the PaymentWorks invitation.

I am a "Payer" in PaymentWorks and send invitations to others. How can I also register as a "Payee"?

Please contact your payment requester to provide an alternative email address for a new invitation. If you have logged into PaymentWorks via the Tufts SSO you will have a Payer account. Please DO NOT log in through Tufts unless you are going to send invitations. 

I want to add / update a PO dispatch email, how do I do this?

1. Log into your PaymentWorks account:  https://www.paymentworks.com/app

2. Click on View/Edit Form in the center of the page.

3. Click on Additional Information at the top.

4. Scroll down until you get to Purchase Order Email and enter PO Email Address.

5. Scroll to the bottom and click Submit.
