Payroll Information
Audience: All Employees
Last Updated: February 2025
The TSS Payroll Team is responsible for processing salary and wage payments for all Tufts University employees, ensuring that payroll taxes are reported and deposited in a manner consistent with state and federal policies and procedures.
Tufts Employees are paid on one of two schedules:
- Weekly (for Non-Exempt Employees)
- Paydays are usually on Friday, with the exception of some earlier pay dates due to holidays.
- Semi-Monthly (for Exempt Employees)
- For those employees paid semi-monthly, paydays are usually the 15th and 30th of each month. When paydays fall on weekends or holidays, direct deposits are generally made the last workday before the regular pay date.
For all Time Entry Deadlines, Payroll Processing, and Pay dates, please review the applicable Payroll Calendar.
