Reuse Programs
Reusing is a great way to reduce waste. Many Tufts community members enjoy upcycling, a form of creative reuse through which you turn your waste items into something else, from an art project to a tool.
You might also be familiar with Craigslist or Freecycle, online tools that allow you to exchange the goods you no longer need with someone who can utilize them. This exchange of goods for free, or freecycling, is an excellent way for items to be reused and diverted from the waste stream. Tufts has a university-wide goal to reduce waste by 3% each year, and reuse is an important way to help reach it.
