    Features

    SIMULIA Abaqus FEA contains several distinct modules:

    • Abaqus/CAE (Complete Abaqus Environment) - a software application used for the modeling and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies (pre-processing) and for visualizing the finite element analysis result
    • Abaqus/Standard - a general-purpose Finite-Element analyzer
    • Abaqus/Explicit - a special-purpose Finite-Element analyzer
    • Abaqus/CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) - a software application providing advanced computational fluid dynamics capabilities
    • Abaqus Topology Optimization Module (ATOM) - used to perform topology and shape optimization for single parts and assemblies
    • Abaqus fe-safe - an Abaqus post-processor used to predict fatigue life

    NOTE: This software is also available on the Research Computing Cluster. You can request a cluster account by completing the application available at research.uit.tufts.edu.
