This policy applies to all staff, temporary staff, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, independent contractors, affiliates or any other members of the Tufts community, including those hired contractually or who work under faculty or postdoctoral scholar handbooks, or who are otherwise covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
To avoid distractions, solicitation of an employee or by an employee of another employee is prohibited while either the person doing the soliciting or the person being solicited is on working time.
Distribution of advertising material, handbills, printed or written literature of any kind during working time or in working areas of the University is prohibited.
Working time includes the time during which any of the employees involved are actually scheduled to work, but does not include scheduled rest periods, meal breaks and other specified times when employees are not expected to be working.
Solicitation and/or distribution by non-employees on University premises is prohibited at all times.
