Student Mail Fall Move-In
Whether you're new to Tufts or coming back after an amazing summer, the mailroom is here to help with all your mail and packages. Our website has all the info you need about student mail but we've put this page together to give you some highlights for move-in or using the mailroom for the first time.
How do I address my mail?
You’ll need to know your Unique Mail Code and include that on all mail and packages. The UMC can be found in your SIS Profile. Please review the detailed instructions for addressing mail. All students will use the same mailing address except SMFA Beacon St. residents, they will use a different mailing address.
How do I pick up my mail?
Alerts! You don’t need to come to the Mail Center to look for your package. We will let you know when it get’s checked in and when it is ready for pick up!
Make it quick! When you do come to the Mail Center, we look forward to seeing you, but we plan to make it a quick visit! The Kiosks will allow you to tap or swipe your ID when you walk in, and we will meet you at the counter with your package!
The mailroom is located at 389 Boston Avenue, Medford, MA 02155. The entrance is through the parking lot located on the backside of the building. View the hours of operation on our contact page.
SMFA Beacon Street residents: Stop by the mailroom at 230 Fenway, during normal business hours.
Sending packages early for move-in?
You’ll be able to send packages to the mailroom prior to your arrival. For the Medford/Somerville campus do not send any packages prior to August 1st, for the SMFA campus do not send packages before August 15th. Please plan for your packages to arrive at least 2 days prior to your arrival. This will give the mailroom time to check in your packages and alert you that they have arrived. The Medford campus mailroom will be open extended hours during move-in. The SMFA mailroom will be open during check-in on 8/23 and 8/28 from 9am-3pm. Please plan to pick up your packages on your approved arrival date.
