Surplus Furniture Programs
Tufts Office Furniture Program
Facilities Services operates a surplus furniture program in partnership with Gallo Moving. Your department will be responsible for any charges associated with removal or delivery of furniture.
Remove Furniture
If you have furniture items that your Tufts group no longer needs, please email bmcgowan@gallomoving.com and CC gabrielle.blum@tufts.edu to have the item(s) collected for reuse or recycling.
Browse Furniture
A select number of surplus items collected are set aside and made available to members of the Tufts community as part of the surplus furniture re-use program.
The surplus furniture photo album has photos of the furniture that is currently in storage and is updated regularly as items are added or removed. Please refer to photo description for dimensions and quantity.
Request Furniture
To request furniture, email Gallo Moving and include the item’s photo/description and quantity of the furniture you are interested in your request. There is a nominal cost to deliver the items to campus and Gallo will accept p-cards or PO’s for payment (no personal credit cards may be used). Please note that deliveries may not be made to Residence Halls for personal use.
MIT Furniture Exchange
Tufts is part of the MIT Furniture Exchange, through which you can donate or discover discounted used furniture and household goods. Proceeds go towards scholarships at MIT. Bring your Tufts ID to explore!
