Teaching with Multi-modality Tools and Spaces at Tufts

As another school year kicks off, Tufts Technology Services (TTS) wants to ensure faculty have the tools and spaces they need to accommodate teaching students learning both in person and remotely.
TTS has equipped over 100 classrooms across the Tufts campuses with capabilities to simultaneously teach in-person and remote students. During the Summer of 2022, many classrooms have been upgraded with dedicated Zoom controls at the lectern. The operation is identical of most of the small and medium sized classrooms across campus is now virtually identical.
On the Boston Campus, TTS installed computers and remote teaching capabilities in a number of medium sized classrooms on the Boston campus that previously were unequipped. These rooms operate identically to those on other campuses. Faculty also will find a number of new projectors, flat screen displays, and enhancements to a number of large lecture halls, such as Cohen, ASEAN, and Hamiliburg auditorium.
