Technology and Teaching a Winning Combination - 2018 TWT Awards

Each year, Tufts Technology Services (TTS) Educational Technology Services group sponsors the Teaching with Technology (TWT) Awards recognizing effective and creative uses of technology in teaching at Tufts. Students from all Tufts schools are invited to nominate instructors who they feel use technology in new and inventive ways to support teaching and learning and who have had a markedly positive impact on their learning and engagement in a Tufts course.
This year, we received close to 160 student nominations for 85 instructors. A committee of eleven educational technology professionals from across the University reviewed each nomination and selected 10 finalists. The IT Governance Sub-Committee on Teaching and Learning (SCTL) - a university-wide committee of faculty, senior academic administrators, and deans - selected 5 winners from the 10 finalists.
The awards were presented at the 31st Annual Tufts University-Wide Teaching Conference on May 22, 2018 where each of the 5 winners received a new Kindle Oasis along with a certificate signed by our Provost.
Congratulations to all of the nominees, the honorable mentions, and our 5 winners! Watch the videos showcasing how our 5 winners used technology in their teaching.
