Tufts engaging with Dell as vendor for Computer Equipment

Tufts is pleased to be working with Dell as our potential new provider for computer equipment.
As our 5-year contract with Lenovo (provided by Micros Northeast) was ending, it was time to reevaluate service and source bids from various computer equipment vendors. Vendor bids were evaluated based on key criteria important to our community including customer services, price, and quality of products.
In addition to great customer service, Dell will be able to offer deeper discounts and updated models for our community on desktops, laptops, and monitors.
Purchasing computer equipment
Ordering of computer equipment will be managed by sending requests to the TTS 24/7 Service Desk by emailing it@tufts.edu.
Please note that there continue to be significant delays for some computer and peripheral orders due to the global chip shortage. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about availability.

Computer support and repairs
As our partnership with Micros Northeast for computer repair service will be ending as well, we are in the process of evaluating several options to enhance our repair service offerings across all campuses. Stay tuned for more details.
Please note that the Medford walk-up desk is moving from Eaton Hall to the Tisch Library beginning in July (as Eaton is closing for renovations).
