Tufts University Staff Mentoring Program
A Tufts Beyond 175 Initiative
Growing Leaders and Strengthening Connections
The Tufts University Mentoring Program is a six-month, university-wide professional development experience designed to build skills, relationships, and perspectives across Tufts schools and divisions. This program advances the first driver of the Tufts Beyond 175 strategic plan and reflects Tufts’ commitment to developing talent, strengthening engagement, and fostering a “One Tufts” culture.
Why Mentoring at Tufts?

- Gain new perspectives and insights
- Strengthen leadership and communication skills
- Increase awareness of career paths and opportunities at Tufts
"The most helpful part of mentorship was being able to bounce ideas off of my mentor. At first I was concerned that our jobs are quite different but she had similar experiences to me in day-to-day interpersonal interactions with coworkers and was able to provide a lot of insight into things like working with direct reports." - Tufts Mentee
