In light of the Supreme Court ruling on abortion on Friday, 6/24, we assure you that as an employer, a student healthcare provider, and a health sciences education leader, Tufts University remains committed to protecting equitable reproductive healthcare access to the fullest extent guaranteed by current Massachusetts law.
- We will continue to provide health insurance that covers the cost of reproductive healthcare procedures and contraception, as well as trans- and gender-affirming healthcare.
- Our employee benefit programs will continue to recognize LGBTQ+ marriages and domestic partnerships.
- Tufts Health Service staff will continue to offer students unbiased, patient-centered counseling for planned and unplanned pregnancies, along with birth control and contraception, emergency contraception, and referrals to appropriate providers, remaining respectful of patients’ reproductive choices. They will also continue to deliver trans- and gender-affirming care.
